Term 2
Children In Need
Today we were visited by Pudsey Bear. He has so much to do with Children in Need Day tomorrow, that he stopped by to visit the school this afternoon!
Sound
We have been exploring how object vibrate to make sound and that sound particles can travel through solids, liquids and gases.
We experimented with how different instruments/objects make sound.
Experiments with changing pitch using different 'instruments'
English
Using the book ‘How to Train a Dragon’ as inspiration, we have been imagining what life would have been like for people in the Viking period dealing with dragons. We learned that they were great storytellers, who would pass on tales of heroism and conflict in the form of sagas. We used drama to re-create scenes of a settlement being attacked by a vicious hoard of dragons.
Multiplication & Division
Hockey
We have been practising our ball control in hockey, making sure we hold our sticks correctly and that we keep our heads up as we dribble. We have been learning to pass with greater accuracy.
