Welcome to our class page! .
Welcome back to the 6th term of the academic year! We can’t believe it’s the last term already!
We are so pleased to welcome you to our class page as we continue our journey in Year Four and look forward to sharing our love of learning with you.

Reading books
Please can we ask that reading books and records come into school every day so that we can listen to your child read in school as often as possible. We encourage children to read to their parents or siblings at home and leave a comment in the reading log. Our new reading logs have room for pupils to write a comment and give the book or chapter read a mark out of 10. Encourage your child to think about and explain orally why they give that score.
Your child is also encouraged to choose a Reading for Pleasure book, ranging from Fiction and Non-Fiction, Poetry, Picture Books and also including brand new Graphic Novels.
Homework and Spellings
Each week, your child will be given spellings to practice at home alongside a project based homework. We will also be setting the children challenges on Maths Shed. See below for more information. We look forward to sharing what you have been up to and the amazing facts you have discovered.
PE Days
In term 6, we have Swimming on a Wednesday as well as Rounders on Thursday.
Please can we ask that the correct PE kit is to be in school ready for lessons at all times including outdoor PE kit as we like to get outside and be active as much as possible.
For Swimming lessons, please ensure your child has the following.
Swimming kit - (all in one for girls and trunks/shorts for boys) - please ensure that the children are wearing these underneath their school clothes on the day of Swimming lessons.
Towel and underwear in a bag.
Swim hat and goggles (not essential but can wear if required).
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact school where we will be happy to help you.

Times Tables and Division facts
Alongside homework, we will be setting division challenges on MathShed to help improve your child's fluency when answering times table questions.
All of our children have completed their multiplication check and we are so proud of their efforts. Now, we shift our focus onto division facts.
Practice division facts on hit the button and MathShed to help improve your fluency.
