6D Humility Class
Wow it is the summer term and what a delight it has been to welcome back the children again. Their enthusiasm for learning and the school is certainly something I am impressed by each term and excited to see where it takes them this coming term. It will most certainly help prepare them in their next stage of learning. Although we are now in to the last stage of their journey here at St Thomas', there is certainly still much to learn and help them to prepare for Secondary. As always, we will have high expectations of the British and Core Values that the children understand and demonstrate so well and will be looking to see how they can take these into the local community too.
A new term signals new opportunities for us to encourage one another throughout the different aspects of the school day so that each member of Humility Class is ready to learn and prepared to flourish.

Homework and Spellings
On a Friday, homework and spellings shall be sent home. Homework is expected to be returned on the following Thursday. Spellings shall be tested on the following Friday.
We appreciate and understand that many Year 6 pupils read independently; however, reading diaries will be collected every Friday with the expectation that children will have read at least three times. We ask that this is kindly signed by an adult in preparation for when they need to have their planners signed in Secondary School.
PE
During this term, PE shall take place on a Monday and Friday. PE Kit will therefore need to be present in school on this day.
