Term 3

Term 3

A busy term ahead and one where the children will be able to practise and rehearse their learning across the curriculum. There are also lots of opportunities for children to embed their learning with visitors and trips too!

In Maths this term, we start by looking at 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. We will continue to embed and retrieve knowledge on place value, addition and subtraction too.

In English, we start with an exciting Speeches Week followed by instruction writing. Lots of opportunities to develop our spelling, punctuation and grammar knowledge too.

Across the curriculum, we will be looking at the impact of explorer Robert Falcon Scott in History, developing our ocarina skills in Music and exploring materials in Science. Also, in PE, we will be taking part in target games and dance - how very exciting - we can't wait!

Our big questions this term:

Computing - Why do instructions need to be clear?

History - Is one person able to change the world?

Music - Does the structure of music matter?

PE (1) - How does dance help my feelings?

PE (2) - How does challenge motivate you to improve?

Art - What form is spring?

PSHE - Is risk always dangerous?

RE - How do Muslims follow the straight path?

Science - How do the properties of materials dictate their uses?
