Term 4
'Round and round we go'

We welcome you back to another term! We will begin to explore different types of vehicles, from the past and the present. The children will look forward to a walk to our local church ahead of Easter celebrations and plenty of opportunities for identifying signs of spring. With world book day ahead of us, we will continue to enjoy some new stories including ‘Mr wolfs pancakes’ and some non-fiction texts all about transport. In maths we begin to build the numbers 9 and 10, not forgetting 3D shapes to learn all about! Our children will continue to engage in independent learning opportunities within out indoor and outdoor learning areas.

Our PE unit this term is all about dance:

The children listened to some 'under the sea' sounds and were able to follow a pattern of dance moves to the beat of the music. This routine will develop over the term. Well done Reception!!

World Book Day
Joy Class came dressed as some fantastic book characters for World Book day this week.

We had a range from Minnie mouse to Mr Bean. The school librarians delivered a Collective Worship and we had the chance to visit the school library for a story. 

This week in maths we have been comparing length and height. We each had a different length piece of string, we held them against each others to see who had the longest or shortest piece of string. Then we build a tower the same height as ourselves and compared who was the tallest and who is the shortest out of the group.
