At St Thomas', we pride ourselves on our sporting values and participation. We have many sporting partnerships that we are involved in, both locally and further afield. Below, you will find a breakdown of our partnerships and what they offer our children at St Thomas'. 

Boston School Sports Partnership

We are proud to be supported by the Boston School Sports Partnership who offer our children in Key Stage 2 the chance to compete, develop skills and interest and further our children's sporting abilities and knowledge through a wide range of sporting experiences. Sporting trips can range from Football, Tag Rugby, Tennis, Orienteering, Capture the Castle, Indoor Athletics and Cross Country. If we are lucky to win one of these tournaments, there can be opportunities to represent the school at a County level!

Within this partnership, we have the chance to develop our understanding and promote the love of sports through development days such as Gymnastics, Dance and Change 4 Life festivals. As well as this, the partnership offers chances to promote Paralympic Sports such as Boccia and Goalball by offering it as a competition and also coming into school to deliver sessions to our children. 

Finally, our partnership with Boston School Sports Partnership allows us to provide training to our Playground Leaders who lead games during our break times. This training is so important to our children as it breaks down the roles and how the children can best support other children in keeping everyone active.

Last year, through our participation with the Boston School Sports Partnership, we were awarded the Gold Mark which we are incredibly proud of and we are striving to achieve this again this year.

Spalding Hockey Club

Another one of our partnerships is linked to Spalding Hockey Club who invite us to take part in a range of tournaments throughout the year at their pitch in Surfleet. Children who represent our Hockey Team love competing in this tournament as it allows us to apply the skills that we learn into a competition and also allows us to compete against other schools around Spalding and the surrounding area. Each tournament gives us areas to improve, further understanding of the game and achievements to celebrate. We have enjoyed participating in these tournaments for many years and we know we will continue to enjoy working together with Spalding Hockey Club for many more years. 

Elite Sports

Our final partnership is linked to a local coaching company named Elite Sports. Elite Sports offer us further competitions in Football for both boys and girls with other local schools in the area. We play in a league system and the team at the top are crowned champions. We thank Elite Sports for their partnership and look forward to working with them more in the future. 

We are always looking for links to be made for sports at St Thomas' and we always welcome and happy to promote local clubs, holiday clubs and provisions for clubs and experiences in our local area that will promote sports to our children and help keeping them active for longer periods of time.
