Science
Lesson 1
In our first lesson we looked at the different classifications of animals there are in the world: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. We then worked in groups to sort out some pictures of animals into their classification using the knowledge we had learnt about what helps identify them into the categories.
Classification of animals.
During our lesson today, we looked at the different classifications of animals and then using a Venn diagram we decided if there were different ways we could group the animals rather then in mammals, fish, birds, amphibians and reptiles. We were able to group them in what they eat: carnivores and herbivores, if they love on land or water and lots of other interesting ways.
Common plants and trees
In our lesson today we looked at how we could use a branching database to help us to identify common plants and trees that we can find in our school grounds.

In our next lesson, we sketched natural items in our sketch books to get inspiration of what we could use to help us create our own building design.
