Reverend Sudharshan came to visit Year 2 to talk to us about harvest. He focused on how Christians celebrate harvest in Sri Lanka. We noticed many similarities but some clear differences to how harvest is celebrated in England and Sri Lanka. There is a lot of food cooked, shared and eaten. Also, there is lots of dancing and time with family and friends. We noticed they have some different foods and traditions in Sri Lanka too!

The children were fascinated to learn about the harmonious way that Christians and Buddhists work along side each other to gather the harvest and how the Christians celebrate Harvest in Sri Lanka.
