Maths

This week we have been consolidating our knowledge of adding 2 1-digit numbers together. We have been practising the skill of counting on to find our answers. Over the week we have used different resources to gain fluency in counting on and then we used our knowledge to solve problems. 

Science 

In Science, we began our new unit of animals! We began looking at the different animal groups and what key features they have. We then moved on to discover what foods common animals eat and what vocabulary is used to describe this. We worked together to classify our animals into the groups - carnivores, omnivores and herbivores. 

Art

In Art, we began our drawing unit. We looked at multiple pieces of artwork which highlighted different types of lines within drawings. Together we discussed the artwork and looked at the similarities and differences between the work. We then explored how we can make shapes with our lines.
