Term 2
Welcome to Term 2
This term our topic is called `It's good to be you! This will allow the children to understand how everyone is special, begin to understand tolerance and explore a range of cultures and celebrations. We are also very excited about this term as we will begin learning the songs for our Christmas Nativity. In Maths, the children will begin to explore counting and number recognition but also take part in solving problems. The children will now split for phonics daily and consolidate their set 1 sounds and begin to read a selection of words with greater independence. We are looking forward to seeing how all of our children continue to flourish and grow this term.

Starting off the term with some bonfire night and firework related provision for the children to engage with during independent learning time.
Reception had a visit from the Fire service! We had the chance to look around, sit inside the fire engine and learn lots of new and important facts! Thank you Lincs Fire service for this amazing learning opportunity!
Reception took part in some Anti-bullying week. We read the story of Elmer then made our very own masks to act out some kind scenario's.
Reception are very excited ahead of our animal visit this week. During independent learning time the children have been mark making spiders, parking cars in the correct numbered bays and practising their fine motor skills by cutting some worm inspired spaghetti.
We have been learning all about the story of 'The Nativity'. Reception have been talk about the characters in the story and the order of events.
