Term 4
Term 4
Another busy term ahead and one where the children will be able to practise and rehearse their learning across the curriculum.
In Maths this term we embed our knowledge of place value to 50 adding, taking away and measuring length and mass.
Today we have been counting in 10s and making the numbers using numicon, ten frames and tens sticks. We talked about how many ones there are in each number and how many 10s there are.
We have been learning to count in groups of ten. We will then use this to help us partition numbers into tens and ones.

In English, we will continue to understand how capital letters and full stops are used through the writing of instructions and writing simple stories based around Jack and the Beanstalk and The Gingerbread Man.

The children were fascinated about it's significance in the past and how it can be used today.
