Welcome to Term 5!

We hope you are all well rested and ready to go after a great Easter break! We are so excited to learn about animals, seeds, lifecycles, growing plants, a bad tempered ladybird, healthy food choices, harvesting, a very hungry caterpillar, children’s gardening week and even a trip to the farm! We have some fantastic learning opportunities planned for the children to deepen their understanding and vocabulary of ‘On the farm’.

In PE this term we are practising our ball skills. Our first session we were pretending that the weather was 'windy' and the children had to keep control of their ball. We used our hands to roll the ball and our feet to stop the ball. The children worked with a partner to practise control.

The children have been exploring boom whackers. They have been working in small groups with an adult to play the boom whackers in a pattern to create a tune. The children were able to talk about how they make different sounds using the words 'high and low'.
