This term we continue with exploring life through the ages from Stone Age to Iron Age.

As part of our History learning. we were fortunate enough to visit Flag Fen. This is a site where you can learn about life in the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Age. We got up to lots of exciting things on our visit:

Investigating Artefacts

Making Stone and Bronze Age crafts!

This term we work as Physicists for the first time as we investigate the forces around us, including that of magnets.

We created reports about different types of forces

This term we build on our learning from Year 2 when we answered the key question, How do Muslims follow the straight path?

We have enjoyed identifying and discussing the different features of a mosque.

As we work as Geographers, we will identify different types of settlement and what is needed to make a successful settlement.

To kickstart our unit on location, we spent time outside learning about the different directions on a compass. We began by exploring the compass, and then put our knowledge to the test in a game where we had to take a step in the direction that Miss Ford called out!

In maths, we have worked hard on our muliplication and divison knowledge using arrays and groupings.

PE - Yoga

This term we focus on our bodies and the control we have over them as we really reflect and think about our breathing.

This term, we develop our ball control skills, alongside our teamwork.

French

Puis-je me présenter?

This term we learn how to introduce ourselves in French and talk about how we are feeling.

PSHE

Does respect always look the same?

This term we explore what respect means and how it might look in different situations. We also spend time exploring respect through our safety weeks. Anti-bullying and Road Safety Weeks are an important part of this term.

Planetarium Visit

We were so lucky to get to go in the planetarium when it came to school. It was very dark inside, the visitor spoke about the solar system and helped us to spot constellations in the stars that lit up the inside of the dome. We had a great time learning more about space!

Anti-bullying Week

For part of anti-bullying week, we wore our funkiest odd socks to school. We did this to raise awareness that everyone is different and this is okay!

Remembrance Day

To commemorate armistice day, we created our own watercolour popppies. We discussed why poppies are worn around the country on the 11th November each year.

Road Safety Week

As part of Road Safety Week, we designed our own cars with safety features that will help us to stay even safer when we are passenegers with our grown-ups.
