School Aged Immunisation Service information for parents

The school age immunisation service (SAIS) delivers the NHS vaccination schedule to school age children across Lincolnshire. This work is mainly carried out in the county’s 361 Schools, but is also completed in clinics and home settings as required.

The current vaccination timetable sees us deliver the Flu vaccine to all primary school children, as well as staff and pupils of all ages in special schools. We deliver the HPV vaccine to girls in school year 8. The Meningitis ACWY vaccine and Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio booster is then given to all pupils in school year 9. In line with the planned changes to the NHS schedule, we will offer boys who start school year 8 in September 2019 the HPV vaccine. More information on this will be shared in due course.

Consent forms for all vaccines will be open from early June. Please visit www.lincolnshireimmunisations.co.uk to complete your child’s online consent form. You will require your child’s school code to access the form, which will be forwarded to you by your child’s school.   The immunisation team work from 4 bases, details of which can be found below. Should you wish to contact a member of the team directly, please contact the base nearest to your child’s school.
