  • School Aged Immunisation Service information for parents

    Thu 02 May 2019

The school age immunisation service (SAIS) delivers the NHS vaccination schedule to school age children across Lincolnshire. This work is mainly carried out in the county’s 361 Schools, but is also completed in clinics and home settings as required.

The current vaccination timetable sees us deliver the Flu vaccine to all primary school children, as well as staff and pupils of all ages in special schools. We deliver the HPV vaccine to girls in school year 8. The Meningitis ACWY vaccine and Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio booster is then given to all pupils in school year 9. In line with the planned changes to the NHS schedule, we will offer boys who start school year 8 in September 2019 the HPV vaccine. More information on this will be shared in due course.

Consent forms for all vaccines will be open from early June. Please visit www.lincolnshireimmunisations.co.uk to complete your child’s online consent form. You will require your child’s school code to access the form, which will be forwarded to you by your child’s school.   The immunisation team work from 4 bases, details of which can be found below. Should you wish to contact a member of the team directly, please contact the base nearest to your child’s school.

  • PGL Update

    Tue 25 Sep 2018

We have had an excellent morning at PGL. After a morning run (and a game with a frisbee) we have had a good breakfast and launched ourselves into harness activities. Here we are abseiling, tackling the vertical challenge, on the giant swing and taking on Jacob’s ladder. The weather is fine and we are all very nearly ready for our lunch. What a great time we are having together!

  • PGL Evening Update

    Tue 25 Sep 2018

    Good Evening,

We have had such an action packed day of activities, we're starting to feel a little bit tired, however we still had plenty of energy to disco.

Everyone has eaten well, had lots of fun and have really challenged themselves and supported eachother with todays activities. We are very proud of the children and their attitude to each activity and working hard at overcoming their fears. On each activity, they have pushed themselves to the next level.

Everyone has been tucked up in bed asleep for a while now after a fun packed disco.

The boys were the PGL dance off champion in the disco.

We will give a brief update in the morning, before starting our morning activities. Please keep up to date with events on our twitter page @GreatOaksFed
