Harvest here and in Sri Lanka

Reverend Sudarshan came to visit children to talk to them about harvest in his home country of Sri Lanka. Many of our children come from farming back grounds and understand that Harvest is a busy time and that - as a church school - we should be thankful to God for what we harvest.
The afternoon that Reverend Sudarshan spent with the children helped them to understand what harvest looks like in another country, but also how people of different faiths come together to celebrate what they have gathered. The activity with Y2 and Y3 children aimed to broaden their world-view beyond their familiar, lived-out experiences of living and working in a rural farming community in Lincolnshire.
