    Paper plate memory game

Grab some paper plates and then write letters or draw pictures on them. Then lay them out on the floor and play the game!  Here are the rules in case you’re not familiar with the memory game. Each player turns over two cards (plates) at a time.  If they match, the player keeps them.  If not, they turn them back over and the next player takes a turn turning over two cards. Ask your child to say the letter on the plate or make the sound of the animal.

    Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Take some time to learn this nursery rhyme, can you make actions to go with it?

This game teaches children turn taking, listening and responding to questions, memory skills and develops vocabulary and language.

It is simple to play- you could make headbands- with an image on.

Teach your child how to ask questions and to use clues.  Begin with familiar characters or favourite food or toys.

Try and learn a new song together and make some fun actions!
