Term 5

Welcome to Term 5!

We hope you are all well rested and ready to go after a great Easter break! We are so excited to learn about animals, seeds, lifecycles, growing plants, a bad tempered ladybird, healthy food choices, harvesting, a very hungry caterpillar, children’s gardening week and even a trip to the farm! We have some fantastic learning opportunities planned for the children to deepen their understanding and vocabulary of ‘On the farm’.

Joy class have enjoyed the first week back, during independent learning time they have been busy planting seeds in the new potting shed. They have been creative with tissue paper and loved collecting seeds from different fruits and vegetables.

This week we have been exploring number from 10-20.
The children have become confident in making the numbers using numicon.
We have also been doing a lot of number formation practise.

Our first PE session back was fantastic to see Joy class getting changed much more  independently, we played some team games, involving train driving and navigating the space around us.

Reception went to Tattershall farm park to meet some farm animals, we were able to walk some goats and feed some sheep. The children enjoyed an owl show and watch a new pig arrive at the farm.
