Click on the light blue to take you directly to helpful videos.
Thursday 8th July
Please go to the Video Resource Centre, there are two videos (and Mrs Crawford!) to help you, one which reminds you how to convert between metric measurements, and one which reminds you how to multiply and divide by 10,100 and 1000. The sheets are for you to practise doing these conversions, if you cannot print the sheets just copy the table and complete it on paper. The first sheets are for you if you are confident after watching the video(s). If you are still not confident yet, then do the second sheet, as it gives you the place value grid to help you do the working out. if you have any questions, please just email.
SCROLL DOWN THE PDF DOCUMENT TO FIND THE ANSWERS AND CHECK YOUR WORK.
Friday 9th July
The mental arithmetic test is provided for you. There is a video in the Resource Centre which reminds you how to add or subtract decimal numbers which have different numbers of decimal places. Once you have completed the test, check the answers against the last page on the PDF document.
Read the poem and answer the questions about it (the questions are on the same page as the poem).
Use the image and mind map questions about it. Think about the details, actions, emotions, time of day and objects you can see.
You have learned so much about the Ancient Greeks this term, now choose your favourite part and create an exciting, creative information page about it. You may choose to do more research about areas we did not cover in depth such as Greek soldiers or theatres or buildings, or you may choose to present information about an aspect of Greek life that we learned about together.
Your information can be presented in any way you choose - a double page spread as you have done in school before, or as a fact-file with boxes. Be creative and remember to email your results to your teacher!
This week, for your Art lesson, draw a still life picture. This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkLT6fM0Ac8 will help you to get started (right click to get the option of going to the link if the hyperlink does not work). You will need around five objects that you can arrange to draw. Have fun using the skills you learned earlier in the year!
Get those feet moving and see if you can keep in time with the beat! I know I am going to give it a go!
