This week we will practise solving word problems, which involve all four operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide), and some multistep problems too. Look at both challenge A and B to see which level suits you. There are videos in the Video Resource Centre to help, so watch these please!
This week, you will have the chance to read lots of Greek myths! As usual there are VIPERS questions to answer, to check you have understood the text in different ways. Where the questions are not presented as VIPERS, your challenge is to see if you can identify which question matches each of the skills! For the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday myths, you can challenge yourself at an appropriate level, as there are three different versions of the text, with different questions. Keep scrolling down - the most challenging one is at the end.
In English, we are studying the book 'Farther' by Grahame Baker-Smith. Will you be able to come up with an exciting description by the end of the week?
How do religious and non-religious people express their beliefs creatively?
At school, you had begun to design and create a piece of art to show your beliefs. Can you select the religion of Hinduism and create a piece that would demonstrate their beliefs? Remember the similarities to Christianity.

Can you recall the work about compass points from this term? Remind yourself with the PowerPoint and then complete the sheet, following the directions.
This week, you can complete another still life but with different objects. Maybe there could be a theme i.e. cooking items, food, gardening equipment etc… Can you find your own style to add colour, ie. patterns, shading, blocking of colour etc…? Look back at last week's lesson.
Using your knowledge of French foods, can you design your own French menu. There is an example here for you and a word mat to help. Please add your own images too. Tres bien
