Our overarching question for Term 3 is:
'Is it fair for animals to suffer?'
Pole to Pole
Welcome back year 2! We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas break with your families.
This term, our topic is called Pole to Pole and this includes lots of exciting learning about the Arctic and the Antarctic. Throughout the term, we will be learning about the brave explorers who travelled to the Antarctic and the challenges they faced. We will explore the continent Antarctica and identify the different animals that live there. This will link with our Science learning of animals and their habitats. We will compare the different habitats around the world and begin to understand why these are important to helping animals survive. In our RE lessons we will continue to build upon your understanding of Islam and the Qu'ran's teachings. In PE, we will explore the units of Dance and ball skills. This will involve using patterns, movements and space when creating routines and also developing our throwing and catching skills.
If you would like to research more about our theme this term, then you can find a selection of books below.
