Our class novel for term 1 is Skellig by David Almond.

 

Michael steps into the crumbling garage. What is this thing beneath the spiders' webs and dead flies? A human being, or a strange kind of beast never seen before? The only person Michael can confide in is Mina. Together they carry the creature into the light and Michael's world changes forever...

 

 

In year 6 we are reading an intriguing book called Skellig by David Almond, the winner of the Carnegie medal. The book is about a teenage boy named Micheal who starts investigating his old crumbling garage, and behind all the dead bluebottles and cobwebs he find a pale filthy creature, sitting behind all the garage that had been stuffed in the garage many years ago...
